Earlier in the day, featured artists will host ʻukulele workshops for players of all levels — a special opportunity to learn directly from the masters and deepen your connection to the instrument and its cultural roots.

Pop-up Zoom ʻUkulele workshop with Bryan Tolentino and Herb Ohta Jr!

Sat. Dec. 6, 9am HST. &

Sat. Dec. 6, 12pm HST.

*same workshop (2) different times. 1.30 mins each. 🙂

Weʻll cover the Christmas mele, “Mele Kalikimaka”, a mele written by R. Alex Anderson.

Herb Jr. will cover the lead playing, with some muisc reading, and Iʻll cover the accompanist part with some chord substitutions!

*Intermediate/advanced level, but all are welcome!

Find your starting point and continue to add layers!
