On Wednesday February 18 from 6:30 to 8:30pm two masters of the ‘ukulele will be on stage together. Together, Herb Ohta, Jr. and Bryan Tolentino promise an evening of musical brilliance, blending tradition with innovation, as they take you on a journey through the rich tradition of Hawaiian music. Don't miss your chance to witness these ukulele masters in action.
Herb Ohta, Jr., heir to the ukulele legacy of his father, "Ohta-san," is a virtuoso known for his innovative techniques and unparalleled mastery of tone. Prepare to be mesmerized as Herb showcases why he's hailed as one of today's most prolific ukulele masters. This past year he released his 16 th solo album, ’Ukulele Story. He has many other collaborative releases as well.
Bryan Tolentino, with over thirty-eight years of experience, brings a unique touch to every performance. His unique talent has graced the works of many of Hawai’i’s finest recording artists, adding his own brand of magic to over 50 albums.

These gatherings engage Hawaiian language speakers and learners through a range of activities including casual conversations, shopping, dining, entertainment, games, and competitions, all in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. There’s something fun for everyone, join us as we celebrate ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi in our Koʻolau community!
