Aloha mai kākou!
I will be doing a Zoom ‘ukulele workshop that focuses on being a Hawaiian music accompanist. There are many elements that makes a successful accompanist – supremely attentive listening, musical sensitivity and being flexible in real time. Connecting technical skills with musical awareness and thought process is a skill that will help you make intuitive musical choices. You need to have a basic command of most major and minor chords.
We'll be working in the key of A on the song "Pohai Ke Aloha".
Lot’s of alternate chord voicings for sure!
It will be on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 1-2:30pm Hawaiʻi standard time.
4-5:30pm Pacific, 5-6:30pm Mountain, 7-8:30pm Eastern, 8-9:30am Sunday, Japan.
