By request, Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winners David Kamakahi, Herb Ohta, Jr., & Bryan Tolentino return to present a ʻukulele workshop focusing on one song, “Wahine ʻIlikea”

David will talk about his fatherʻs journey about this song, go over the lyrics, its meaning, the chords, and strumming. Next, Herb will cover picking the melody of the song with some chord integration. Then Bryan will teach all of you how to enhance this song with his style of “Fairy Dusting”.

Learn how to pronounce, sing, strum, pick, and chord substitute to one of the most beloved songs of Dennis Kamakahi and our home, Hawaiʻi.
